We're All in This Together

Excuse the title, I was in a High School Musical mood and it fits the topic. You love it, really.

You know what bugs me?

Okay, yes, that bugs me, but that's not what I'm talking about.

What bugs me is that people bully people for liking things that they like. I'm talking about fandoms right now. Let's take the One Direction fandom, known as Directioners as an example. Yes, I'm in fact a Directioner. I'm proud, too. In general, they're all nice people, but I can't help but notice the mean bitches who think they own the fandom.

What do I mean? Well, the girls who are like "you can't be a Directioner if you don't know this" or "you can't be a *insert boyband member's name here* girl because there's too many of us". Uh, excuse me? Are you being serious? There isn't "too many of us" because there is no limit to the fandom! It's not some secret club you have to apply to be a member of. If you're a big fan of the boys and you're dedicated or whatever, then yes, you're a Directioner. There's no ifs or buts. If that's what you are, then good for you! But it can be really uncomfortable when some people think they can boss you about. Sorry, who died and made you queen?

Also, people are saying "you can't be a directioner if you didn't love them from the start." Uh, some people may have only recently heard of One Direction or maybe they were too busy being peer pressured into what they were and weren't allowed to like in the past and now they are part of the fandom. It doesn't matter when you joined the fandom, it matters about you staying and supporting the boys.

As the curly one known as Harry Styles once said "Real directioners are not the ones who have millions of our photos. They're the ones who love us unconditionally."

Guys, a fandom is meant to be like a family. A fan BASE to support your idol. Don't bully and bitch and hate. Just get along. We all have one thing in common: Our love for our idol. This isn't just about Directioners, because I know it happens in other fandoms, but I used this one as an example.

Please stop hating each other. Oh, and for Larry? If you think they'd be cute together, fair enough, but don't push and push and force your beliefs to try and make it real. Just read this photo:

Just imagine and remember

That's all I have to say on this subject for now. But can we all just get along? Stop bullying and trying to run things YOUR way? We're (excuse the cheesiness) all in this together. So let's get along, yeah?

I wanna stay up all night... well, I don't have a choice, I can't sleep...

Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,

What's occurin'? It's like 1:30AM and I'm wide awake. Ever since the concert, I've had the flu and it's not been nice, but oh well, that's life, right?

I've just watched One Direction's Ghana video diaries and I don't know quite what to do with myself besides donate all my money to Comic Relief, but I have none so that won't work. These boys really are incredible. I do admire them for following their dreams and being inspirational through their music, etc. but what really wins me over is that they are really down to earth and you watch them in Ghana and you just... you understand everything. You can't help but praise the lads. I wish I could do whatever possible to help out and what hurts is I can't even do my fundraiser now because I have the flu, but I'm going to donate whenever freaking possible. I wore my Red Nose Day shirt to their concert and I've bought the charity single which you can also buy here as well as see what the boys are up to. Seriously, this is such a good cause to help out so please do whatever you can to donate and help out. I've always wanted to go to Africa to do something like this and now the boys have made me want to do it even more.

Moving away from that subject now... I can't stop fangirling lately and it's really worrying! I don't know why, but I really can't and it's worrying. Meh, oh well.  I'M SEEING OLLY IN JUST UNDER TWO WEEKS, BABY! ACK! Sorry, random outburst but WHOO!

Oh yeah! My interview with Camryn is now on her website! It's also here. Excuse my embarassement, I was shy and just... ack.

She was so sweet and such a lovely person! I'm so glad I had the opportunity to interview her and I wish I could relive it all over again. And I got to see her and One Direction live which asdfhjkl...

I'm fed up of this flu. I can't sleep because of it and the pain in my face from it is giving me tooth ache and it's really horrible. I've had enough!

And now... I've ran out of things to say... so... BYE!

Fan girl mode: ON

OH MY HOLY JESUS.

So, Friday was St David's Day. Not only that, but it was the best St David's Day ever! Why? I met/interviewed Camryn and saw her and One Direction LIVE. *Screams*.

It was amazing. Seriously. I still haven't gotten over it. I'll start from just before the interview. We went to Camryn's hotel in Cardiff and my heart was racing. Like, I felt dizzy because of it all. I don't normally get starstruck (I mean, I interviewed Gino D'acampo and Matt Cardle and I was fine) but today, I don't know what it was, I was just freaking out inside. I kept my cool, obviously, or as cool as I can get and I just tried to breathe. Then her manager, Jeff, came and got myself and Craig from Wicid and we headed upstairs to this sort of bar area and he went and got Camryn from her room. I was just a bit lost, standing there while Craig set the camera and I was just like "Okay, now what? What am I supposed to do?!" and I turned around and in walked Camryn and her manager. She introduced herself and shook my hand and she was literally the sweetest girl ever. I know she's only 13 but she seems much older than that! Older than me! We did the interview and it went really well (except my eye just decided to water halfway through it for no apparent reason) and before I knew it, it was over! But I gave Camryn a Welsh cowboy hat and I think she liked it! I hope so, anyway! Then we wanted a photo together so Craig took our photo on both of our phones and Camryn tweeted/Instagrammed/Facebooked it and suddenly my followers and mentions went crazy! But yeah, Camryn is like the sweetest girl on the planet and really pretty, too!

Camryn and I!

Her manager hooked me up with two tickets to see her and One Direction that night and oh my God, best concert EVER. Camryn reminded me of Hannah Montana on stage and she totally rocked it. I was dancing throughout all of her performance and singing along to all the songs! Freaking amazing.

When One Direction performed, well, I could go on forever about how amazing they were but here were my highlights:

  • Niall's Welsh accent: He nailed it and I couldn't stop laughing. He taught Liam and Liam did really well, too!
  • Louis' Milkshake Story: If you Youtube it, you'll hear about it and it was really funny!
  • Louis DJing: So funny! I want him to DJ my 18th haha!
  • Harry Styles smiling because of me: When they floated over the crowd, they ended up 3 feet away from me and the lights were on me, too and he was trying to be serious but I pulled a funny face at him and he smiled and stared at me and everyone was going "OH MY GOD HE SMILED AT YOU! YOU MADE HIM SMILE!" so that was crazy!
  • Liam seeing me wave my hat and copying my wave: nuff said!
  • Liam Beatboxing during Harry's WMYB solo: it sounded SO GOOD.
Obviously there was so much else that happened but I'd take forever telling you about it!

So thanks to Camryn, I can check something off my bucket list! Massive shoutout to Camryn for that and I can't wait until the day she has her own tour in the UK and I hope she stops in the UK to rock out with us again!

My interview and review will be available on Wicid and CLIC this week so keep an eye out!

Lateeeers! <3 x
